Was reading a preggo blog and the words 'year off' and 'Canada' and 'leave' came across my screen with regards to this chick's parental leave.

So, I go to wikipedia - where else, right? And upon looking this up, it appears the United States sucks. Holy crap. Look at the Americas chart - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parental_leave
Canadians get 50 weeks at 55% pay and the United States has ZERO's across the line. An entire year off is standard. Standard!
We should be ashamed of ourselves. Why is this not talked about more?
