Second Annual Pumpkin Patching

(Those hands, those hands. Those sweet boy hands.)
Last year, we took Asher and Hadley to their first pumpkin patch. Eek! Look at those bald(ish) babies!

Pumpkin Patch 2010
So this year, Christal and I not only planned a similar outing, but we ramped it up a bit. It became a family occasion, and we hit up the Phillips Family Farm in Cary. Phillips is smaller scale little farm, and we had a great time time. We all rode the cow tractor train, took a hay ride, hunted around the pumpkin patch for a free pumpkin and took a stroll through the corn maze trail. We then all stuffed our hungry faces at Cary's new Mellow Mushroom and called it a day! Next year, I'm pushing for margs to be added to the agenda.

This cow tractor train proved to be a little wilder ride than
we thought. It was fun! Mudslinging and all!

The farm is in the landing path at RDU Airport. Throughout the
morning, Asher would look up, point and say 'airplane'.

The point of the flag in the corn maze is to let them know you are lost.
Asher didn't understand why he couldn't wave his flag in the air.
Cue: toddler meltdown.

So, Rusty used the flag to guide/drag Asher
through until he realized the corn was pretty fun, too.

  1. I love this post! And I love the look back at 2010. They look the same but so little at the same time. Where does the time go?
